Psalm 95:1-7a
Verse 3 For the Lord is the great God, the great King above all gods.
Today we focus on being thankful to God because He is the King of Kings. It is so easy to get caught up in looking to our earthly leaders. Whether that is a child saying their dad is better than their friend’s dad or adults looking up to a state or national leader, we tend to look up to them and hope they will have our best interests at heart. When we see God as our ultimate leader we can be truly thankful that He is in perfect control of all things. Things may not always go as we hoped they will but they will always be what is best for us in the long run.

Closing Prayer
Father, thank You for being in full control so we can have peace in our hearts. Continue to give us peace through our surrender to You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
