Psalm 7:17
I will give thanks to the Lord because of His righteousness; I will sing the praises of the name of the Lord Most High.
For this week of Thanksgiving we are going to change things a little from our normal format. Our goal will be to have our hearts prepared and fully focused on the Giver of all things. We will start with remembering His righteousness.
We are thankful for His rightness because it reminds us of the wrong in our hearts and that reminds us of our need for Him. He is right in how He guides, directs and even commands us. He will never steer us wrong but we must know Him and what He says. If we aren’t spending time in prayer and Bible reading we will miss how right He is and may think we are right more than we are. To walk in His rightness takes trust and we should thank Him for His trustworthiness.
Making It Personal for All Ages
What about God’s being right are you thankful for?
Is there a time where you didn’t obey His right way and paid the price for not listening to Him?
What has God been right about in your life that you need to thank Him for?
Closing Prayer
Father, thank You for Your righteousness. May we always remember to praise You for always being right. In Jesus’ name, amen.
