Unforgiveness is the most significant spiritual stumbling block in many Christians’ lives. The power of this particular sin to keep us chained to the past is enormous.
Yet very few of us go through life making deliberate decisions not to forgive people who have hurt us. Usually we “fall into” unforgiveness because of a lack of understanding of what forgiveness really is (and what it is not) and how to actually do it.
Today’s session gives you the chance to hear what the Bible has to say about forgiveness. Pray that God will give you an open heart and mind to hear what He is saying to you, and courage to do all that He is asking you to do over the next few weeks. However hard it may be to face up to the pain of the past and choose to forgive, it is always worth it.
Every day this week, ask the Holy Spirit to prepare your heart by showing you what forgiveness truly is, and starting to reveal to you the people you will need to forgive when you go through The Steps To Freedom In Christ.
