WE ARE
Christian- which marks us as belonging to Christ, our only Savior and Lord, and stressing that there is a need for a living faith in Jesus Christ.
Reformed- which signified that the church is in the tradition of the historic Protestant Reformation, accepting the entire Bible as the authoritative and inspired Word of God, our only infallible rule for life and faith. We believe God desires that we continually become more and more like Christ.
The word “Reformed” comes from the Protestant Reformation, which swept Europe in the 1500’s under the leadership such men as Martin Luther and John Calvin. The Reformed Presbyterian branch of the Reformation was brought to our shores by the Puritans and continues to influence our common life.
Church- this tells us that we belong to Christ, recognizing Him as the King and Savior of His Church.
